Considerable experience with market research and marketing consultancy in the UK prior to resumption of academic career. Experience in conducting international research and significant understanding of multinational and multicultural issues.

2004+: Assistant Professor, Shinawatra University, Courses taught include: Managerial Communications, Communications in Research and Consultancy, Managing Business Renewal, Self-Development, Research Methods, Managing Human Resources, Business Communication and Negotiations, Managing Alliances, Entrepreneurialism and Leadership, Business Ethics and Others. Currently supervising PhD students at Shinawatra University and several are about to graduate. Various MBA dissertation students supervised and now graduated.

2003-4: Head of Directed Research and Assistant Professor, Business Administration Division, Mahidol University International College. Charged with supervising directed research for students. Courses in preparation include Global Marketing Strategy and Ethics and Technology.

2002-3: Assistant Professor Marketing and Communication, Shinawatra University, Bangkok, Thailand. Courses taught include MC1001 Managerial Communications and MC1002 Communications in Research and Consultancy. Also preparing and teaching courses Managing Marketing and the Value Chain; Managing Human Resources; Gaining Value from Innovation and Introduction to Business Statistics. The Shinawatra University MBA Program features a student-centred approach to education which focuses on developing skills, critical thinking and problem-solving. It is unique in Thailand. The role of the teacher at the University is one that combines facilitator, personal developer and mentor, as well as more traditional roles.

2003: Taught Marketing Concepts for 31 Doctoral Students at Ramkhamhaeng University; acting as PhD Committee Chair for four doctoral students. Acting as external reviewer for Rajabhat Institute’s new English language Business Administration degree course. Also taught various other courses at PhD, MBA and BBA levels.

2003: Appointed Chair of Committee for four PhD students at Ramkhamhaeng University (now graduated).

2002: Assistant Professor Marketing, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Courses taught include 310 Introduction to Marketing and 201 Introduction to Business, on both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses. Establishing courses at the 400 level for Consumer Behaviour and E-Commerce and Marketing. Established the inaugural Jim Jackman Memorial Prize. Established and advising the Zayed University Business Student Caucus.

1998-2000: Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Curtin Business School, Curtin University. Involved with a range of academic and market research projects and with developing the market research programme. Established the Globalisation in Southeast Asia Research Programme. Co-supervising Ph.D. and DBA students.
