Green cities are those urban areas in which serious attempts are being made to reduce carbon emissions and, therefore, to fight climate change. It is much easier to do this in modern cities with efficient governance systems and much more difficult to do it in large, disorganized cities which are getting ever bigger because of the arrival of more and more migrants.
